Hello wonderful people of Irongate. We wanted to send out an update to let everyone know what expenditures have been undertaken this year; it has been a lot. We have had to make repairs, replacements, and updates that we have utilized a lot of our funding, beyond the typical expenses, and wanted everyone to be aware of what has been happening. We, the board, have done the following/will be doing the following this year:

• Fixed cracks and repainted the pool.
• Fixed the pool pump.
• Replacing the pond pump.
• Replaced the lock on the clubhouse’s front door.
• Provided emergency plumbing repairs to the clubhouse bathrooms.

These things have cost/will cost the board over $20,000 from the dues that you pay. This is an increase to what we already spend for regular maintenance to the pool, the pond, and the grounds. Due to these expenses, we have had to put a few projects on hold such as procuring more furniture at the pool, making other maintenance repairs to the pool area, and updating/repairing things at the clubhouse. We hope that the necessary expenditures, as these are not optional, take a break for a while. If you have any questions about any of these, feel free to reach out to any of the board members.

There have been some questions about the use of the pond.  Please visit the “Pond” page for all inforamtion related to the pond.  Here are some quick rules to be aware of:

• Catch and release only
• No swimming or boating
• Clean up before leaving the area
• Not allowed at the pond during the dark hours
• Stay off the pond when it ices
